Hiring Timeline

  • Required - Complete an EMS ride-along with one of our EMS crews before the interview date.  This can be scheduled on our website - look under the Careers page.
  • April 22-May 6: Applications accepted in ADP
  • May 12: In-person interview date
  • June 8: Start date

Career Progression Opportunity! After at least three years of Paramedic experience with ECPS, you will have the opportunity to apply for a variety of certifications in any of our P4 tracks including: Community Paramedicine, Search and Rescue, Wildland Fire, Critical Care, Special Operations Tactical Team, Supervisory and Field Training.

Job Summary:

Administers basic and advanced life support to sick and injured persons in the out-of-hospital setting under the direction of the District EMS Physician, utilizing District protocols. As a paramedic, the successful candidate will take the lead on 911 calls, direct EMT partners, be responsible for patient care and complete patient care reports. 

Shift Schedule:

Full-time, year-round: 48/96 shift, eligible for benefits. 

Compensation and benefits:

  • Compensation: expected annual salary of $85,811-$110,980.44; $26.16-$33.84/hour with automatic overtime based on schedule (additional OT opportunities available) - Total Compensation and Rewards Statement below
  • Additional Special Project Rate: 1%-3%
  • Additional Bilingual Merit Rate: 2%
