Community Service

Eagle County Paramedic Services's vision is to care for our community using the highest emergency medical standards while seeking continuous improvement in proactive community service. In the late 1980s, the District was one of the first agencies in Colorado to introduce automatic defibrillators to the community’s first responders by placing the devices on fire trucks. Today the District has numerous AEDs placed throughout Eagle County and EC Paramedics continues to partner with Starting Hearts on this program.

Seniors: Senior wellness checks offer our staff an opportunity to visit monthly senior luncheons and discuss health and wellness, including blood pressure, blood sugar level and pulse oximetry evaluations, for citizens in McCoy and Minturn.

Community Event Support: Local ski race, bike race, triathlons, high school varsity football game and VIP medical coverage is provided for Eagle County. In addition, we offer special event medical coverage consultation for any event to determine necessity for medical coverage.

Youth: Youth ambulance tours, educational school programs and "Camp 911" offer children of all ages insight into first aid and safety for emergency situations.
