Celebrating 40 years

Though emergency medical services (EMS) truly began in the Vail area in 1967, it wasn't fully official for another 15 years. On April 20, 1982, Eagle County voters chose to create the Eagle County Emergency Services Hospital District, also known as Eagle County Ambulance District.

Today, we operate out of five stations with more than 80 employees. We're proud to celebrate this milestone anniversary and will be announcing more details soon.

This document is a proclamation celebrating 40 years of Eagle County Paramedic Services, detailing its history and development.
